Tough start to PGA Tour Season for Séamus Power.
Séamus Power began his 2025 PGA Tour campaign at the Sony Open in Hawaii last weekend. Despite the stunning backdrop, it was a challenging outing for Séamus, whose rounds of 73 and 72 saw him miss the cut. However, as later reported by Brian Keogh, of independent.ie, he complained of his back starting to bother him during the first round of the Sony Open, where he struggled from the tee. As a result, he has withdrawn from this week’s American Express Championship at La Quinta and headed home to Las Vegas for treatment. He hopes to be fully fit in a fortnight to play the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, the WM Phoenix Open and the Genesis Invitational.
