Seamus Power

West Waterford golf club is the home club of PGA Tour professional and multiple PGA Tour winner, Séamus Power. Séamus honed his golfing skills around the West Waterford championship course and had a very successful amateur career. Seamus played college golf at East Tennessee State University, in the US, before making his way through the mini-tours to the PGA Tour. Seamus also represented Ireland at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Gary Hurley

West Waterford golf club is also home to DP World Tour professional Gary Hurley. Gary had an incredible amateur career representing West Waterford, culminating in representing Great Britain & Ireland on the victorious Walker Cup team in 2015. Gary was one of the most consistent amateur golfers in the world, recording 3 victories and multiple top 10 finishes in high profile events.
Since turning professional, Gary has won the Andalucía Open on the Alps Tour in 2022, and later that year, qualified for the DP World Tour, have come through the gruelling Q school.
