Inter-Club Team news

Last Friday evening, our Mixed Fourball team travelled to Dungarvan Gc, for the 3^rd round match against our neighbours. In what turned out to be a very tight and tense finale, as 3 matches went down to the 18^th hole, we lost out on a 2.5 to 1.5 scoreline.

Well done to our team of Bridget Blackwell (Team Manager), Stephen Walsh & Mary Lou Carroll, Michael Gill & Mary Fahey, David Condon & Ciara Donnelly and Conor Blackwell & Denise Nugent who gave their all. Finally, we would like to thank Carmel O’Brien and her Dungarvan team for a very sporting match, and we wish them well in their next round.

Busy week for Séamus Power on the PGA Tour this week

After missing out on the Memorial Tournament last week, Séamus Power returns to action on the PGA Tour this week.

On Mon 2^nd June, Séamus will have played at the US Open qualifying event at Lambton Golf & Country Club in Ontario Canada. At time of writing, the number of qualifying places at this event was not yet announced.

On Thursday, he tees up at the on at the RBC Canadian Open, in Caledon Ontario. This event marks the 6^th anniversary since his current caddy, Simon Keelan first began to work with Séamus in 2019. Their initial partnership occurred at this event that summer, before Séamus offered Simon the caddie position full-time, later that year. After a slow start, the partnership has proved to be a great success, with Séamus since achieving his two PGA Tour wins, with Simon on the bag.

So, hopefully, some success for Séamus to be reported on next week.
