New Era for West Waterford Golf Club with PGA Professional Appointment
This week marks a significant milestone for West Waterford Golf Club with the appointment of its first-ever Club PGA Professional. Colin O’Gorman brings more than a decade of experience in the golf industry and joins the club with a strong reputation for coaching excellence and extensive on-course knowledge. A graduate of the PGA Professional programme at the University of Birmingham, Colin is looking forward to beginning his new role at West Waterford.
In his position, Colin will work with golfers of all abilities, offering professional coaching and lessons, club custom fitting services and access to the latest equipment available in the game. He is currently ranked inside the top 20 on the PGA Ireland Order of Merit and recently represented Ireland at the TGI Partnership Trophy in Scotland, underlining both his competitive achievements and his continued commitment to the sport.
Members and visitors alike are encouraged to call into the club to meet Colin in the new golf shop and discuss how he can help improve their game.
Colin will also serve as the club’s primary point of contact for all enquiries, including green fees, society bookings and membership enquiries.

Lovely weather conditions over the Christmas period contributed to an excellent turnout for our Festive Open Golf days. The drainage works completed during the summer proved highly effective, ensuring the course played in superb condition and was thoroughly enjoyed by all participants.
