Tee It Up at West Waterford This Easter Weekend

West Waterford Golf Club will welcome members and visitors this Easter for its very popular Easter Open, running from Friday, April 3rd to Monday, April 6th.

The event will be played as a 3-Person Champagne Scramble, offering a perfect blend of friendly competition and enjoyment. With the course already in excellent early-season condition, a strong turnout and lively atmosphere are expected across the weekend.

A huge thanks to our sponsors, Dungarvan Transport, Colligan, whose sponsorship plays a vital role in delivering a great competition. Their backing reflects the strong local connections that are central to the club’s activities.

Off the course, a light food offering will be available, with new Bar & Restaurant franchisee Athula and his team giving a preview ahead of their official opening later in April—an ideal opportunity for members to extend a warm West Waterford welcome.

With the US Masters in Augusta just around the corner, the Easter Open marks the perfect start to the golfing season.

Junior Club Winter League sponsored by Cass & Co, Dungarvan.

On Sunday evening, we had the presentations for our Junior Club Winter League, which was very kindly sponsored by Cass & Co. It turned out to be a very competitive affair, with Tom Halpin pipping the Murphy brothers, Daniel and Jayden Murphy to the top prize. It’s been a good week for Tom, who has played a lot of golf over the winter season and having been unlucky to miss out in the prizes at the Post Primary Schools event in Cahir Park last week by just one shot.

Well done to all the juniors who competed over the winter season, and we look forward to the Junior season getting into full swing after Easter.

Special thanks to Stephen Cass for his generous sponsorship of our Juniors this year.
