St. Patrick’s Weekend Social Scramble a Huge Success
We hope all our readers enjoyed a fun-filled St. Patrick’s weekend and had the chance to take advantage of the fantastic spring weather out on the fairways.
On Sunday afternoon, the House & Social Committee hosted another highly enjoyable Mixed Social Scramble, attracting a great turnout. These popular events provide a fantastic opportunity for members to connect, meet new golfing partners, and enjoy a relaxed round of golf.

🥉 3rd Place: Niall Colleran, John Corbett, Una McGlynn & Mary Curran
It was particularly encouraging to see junior golfers taking part, with a special mention to Jayden Murphy, who played his part in the winning team—no doubt sharing a few great tips along the way!
A big thank you to the House & Social Committee for organizing another successful event and to all the members who generously contributed nice eats for the occasion.

Due to the poor weather in February, we have extended the qualifying rounds for the Men’s Winter League, sponsored by Comeragh Oil, to Sunday, March 30th. With the recent fine weather and the course in great condition, it is a good opportunity to get another counting score in or improve on your current 6 best counting scores.
The top 8 players will qualify for the matchplay stages, and currently the standings are very tight at the top, nearly 20 players still in with a chance of breaking into the top 8. So don’t miss your chance to make a run at the playoffs—and maybe even claim the title of Winter League Champion for 2025!

Ladies, this coming Thursday, Mar. 20th, is your final opportunity to improve your scores for the Ladies Winter League, sponsored by Shaws Dungarvan. With your best four 9-hole cards and best four 13-hole cards counting, you only have a few days to give a boost to your teams overall score.
The timesheet for the final round, which will take place on this Sunday, March 23rd, is now open. Tee times start from 12 noon, so get your names up as soon as possible. Presentation will be held immediately after.

Disappointing return to action for Séamus Power at The Players Championship.
Unfortunately, Séamus Power’s participation at last week’s Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass only lasted to Friday afternoon, after two rounds of 76 & 71 resulted in a missed cut. A couple of errant tee shots, and a visit to a water hazard on day one ultimately proved costly to his chances of weekend golf. However, he gets a chance to bounce back quickly this week, when he travels across Florida to the Innisbrook Resort in Tampa, for the Valspar Championship.
