Rory McIlroy Joins Golfing Immortals with Historic Augusta Masters Victory

Like most golf fans across Ireland, we were all captivated this weekend as Rory McIlroy completed one of the sport’s greatest achievements — the career Grand Slam — with a triumphant win at The Masters in Augusta.

From early Sunday morning, optimism buzzed through golf clubs nationwide, with hopeful chatter and confident predictions. As play unfolded, McIlroy took the nation on a gripping emotional roller-coaster, delivering moments of brilliance and drama deep into the evening.

In clinching the coveted green jacket, McIlroy becomes only the sixth golfer in history to win all four major championships, and notably, the first non-American to join this elite group. His victory is a landmark moment for Irish sport and a proud milestone for global golf fans.

Séamus Power Returns to PGA Tour Action

After sitting out The Masters last week, Séamus Power is back in action on the PGA Tour. He tees it up this week at the Corales Puntacana Championship in the Dominican Republic where he will be hoping to take advantage of the higher ranked players competing at a parallel signature event at Hilton Head. This tropical setting offers Séamus a prime opportunity to find some form and hopefully climb the FedExCup standings.
