Easter Open Scramble

A successful Easter Open Scramble, kindly sponsored by Aerhaus, was run over the bank holiday weekend  last week. Thank you to everyone who played. There was some excellent scoring over the four days as can be seen from the results below. Congratulations to all the winners who will be presented with their prizes next Sunday 14th April at 7pm.

Get into Golf Men and Ladies

Our Get into Golf programme will now commence on 17th of April. Best of luck to all our new men and ladies taking up golf for the first time. We hope you get the golfing bug like the rest of us! A big thank you to Úna Mulligan and Niall Colleran for running the programme.

Get into Golf 

On Wednesday we had a lovely gathering for our Get into golf registration evening

The Get into golf programme starts on Wednesday 17th at 7.30pm. 

Easter Open 3 ball

The Presentation of prizes for the Easter Open 3 ball will take place on Sunday 14th April in the Clubhouse. Well done to lady members Una Mulligan and Niamh Reynolds who feature in the prizes.

Winter Rules

Please note the following Winter Rules are in play for the duration of the Winter period:

  • Place on the ground within 6 inches on Fairway & Rough. 
  • Bunkers: Out of play until further notice*. Drop outside bunker at nearest point of relief, not nearer the hole
  • Buggies are not permitted on the course until further notice*
  • *Keep an eye on the noticeboard and BRS for updates in relation to Bunker and Buggy status

Note: Given the soft ground conditions, a temporary rule is in place allowing players a free drop if a ball cannot be found in open ground, in agreement with playing partners.

Junior Academy News

Ten Juniors played last Tuesday 2nd April for our first day out of the season. No competition was held due to the ground conditions but some fine play was on display nevertheless. We have to play a Fred Daly match by 5th May against Dungarvan, but who is home or away hasn’t been decided as of yet. Junior times on Saturdays will be booked between now and then for some more practice. Details will be communicated on WhatsApp.
