Hint of Summer in the air!

After the seemingly never ending winter of rain, playing golf this past weekend you could really get a sense of summer in the air. The sun was shining and the course was in a much more playable state with all the heavy rough having been cut. Needless to say, the fairways and greens were in their usual pristine condition. The transformation was incredible in such a short space of time and a huge thank you to everyone who worked on the course over the past few weeks. Let’s all look forward to a great Summer of golf ahead.

Al Eile Summer Open Series

Delighted to announce the launch of our Al Eile Summer Open Qualifier Series. Special thanks to our sponsor Michael Ryan, who joined Lady Captain Bridget Blackwell & Club President Jim Moroney along with the 24 yr old Grade 1 winner Al Eile himself for our launch.

The series is open to Ladies & Gents, and starts Monday 6th May.

It will run every Monday. Wed. & Fri. for the summer. 4 people will qualify each week, including best lady, best gent & best gross, for the Grand Final on Sat 31st Aug.

You can book your tee time via our website, BRS or call 058 43216.

Good week for Seamus

Seamus continued his run of improved form this week at the RBC Heritage at Harbour Town. Due to a weather delay on Sunday, the tournament won’t finish until Monday morning, but as things stand Seamus is in-line for a top 15 finish, a timely boost to his FedEx Cup standing. Well done Seamus on another good week!

Gary Hurley was also in action this week on the Challenge Tour in Abu Dhabi. A solid first two days saw him make the cut comfortably. Unfortunately after another solid Saturday, Gary had a poor final day and slipped down into a tie for 72nd. However, another cut made and Gary currently sits comfortably in 41st position in the overall Challenge tour standings.
