Lions Club Christmas Scramble
Mark your calendars! On Sunday, December 15th, we’re hosting our annual Lions Club fundraiser—a semi-open 9-hole scramble that promises fun and festive cheer. Bring along a guest for this special day out.
The event will kick off with a shotgun start at 12 noon. The timesheet is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., so make sure to reserve your spot. Partners will be drawn ahead of the day to mix things up. After the scramble, finger food will be served in the bar to keep the holiday spirit alive.
Entry is just €5, covering prizes and food, but we encourage all participants to make a generous donation to support this worthwhile cause. So, dust off your Santa hat and festive jumper, and join us for a fun-filled Sunday afternoon in aid of the Lions Club!
Gents 9-for-9 Winter Singles League Update
Week 6 of the Gents 9-for-9 Winter Singles League has wrapped up, and Stephen Walsh, Jimmy Murphy, and Eddie Glavin remain at the forefront. With each of them having only 4 or 5 cards tallied so far, there’s still plenty of room for others to close the gap.
So, gentlemen, now’s the time to make your move! A late surge could see you snatch the top spot. The league runs until December 13, 2024—plenty of time to make it count.

West Waterford Golfers on the Professional Circuit
As the year winds down, Séamus Power is taking a well-earned break to recharge ahead of the 2025 season.
Meanwhile, Gary competed in the ISPS Handa Australian Open at Kingston Heath Golf Club in Melbourne last weekend. Despite solid rounds of 72 and 71, he narrowly missed the weekend cut. Gary now has two weeks off before wrapping up his 2024 season at the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open on December 19th— not a bad location to finish off your working year !
