Happy New Year! On behalf of our Lady Captain Ciara Donnelly I would like to wish all our members and friends a Happy, Healthy and Successful New Year! May your drives be long and your putts short!

Jo Swayne Scoops the Lions Club competition: There was a great entry in the 13 Hole Christmas competition. All the proceeds were donated to the Lions Club. Jo Swayne who is one of the longest hitters in the club captured the first prize. Playing off 19 Jo had 30 points. In second place was Ger Curran, who has featured in all the competitions recently, with 29 points playing off 43. Our hardworking Competitions Secretary Phil Kelly filled the third spot also with 29 points playing off 33. Thanks to all the members who supported the competition.

Marie T Curran takes the December 9 Hole. The December ongoing 9 hole competition was well supported in the early part of the month! Festivities and weather got in the way in the latter half of the month. Marie T Curran playing off 25 returned a very nice score of 37 points. Eithne Ashby who is never too far from the podium filled second place. Playing off 23 Eithne had 30 points. In third place we had the always accurate Mary Donnelly with 22 points playing off 28

Important Note re ongoing 9 Hole Competition: Please note that with effect from the 1st January the new revised 9 lhole cards must be used when entering the competition. The indexes have been revised so it is important to use the new cards. The cards have been printed in Yellow. You must use your F 9 Hole Course Handicap which is obtainable from the Golf Ireland App. The Entry Fee is €3 per game.

There is also an ongoing 13 hole competition for January.

Winter League: The date for the completion of the first round of the Winter League has been extended and will now finish on the 8th January. All players have been notified of the revised timetable for the league. The top four scores count but there are bonus points for all matches played. So, to get the scores on the board, you have got to go out and play for your team!
