Further Success for our Revive Team
Congratulations to our Ladies Revive four ball team who progressed to the national semi final on Saturday by beating Gort GC in Knightsbroook Golf Course. It was a very close competition with teams being up one or two or down one or two and all square during the match, but West Waterford players, Ciara Donnelly, Jo Swayne, Finola Butler, Denise Nugent, Mary Lou Carroll, Marie T Curran, Una Mulligan June Whyte , Deirdre Ruane, and Joanne Fox went on to win thereby gaining a place in the Semi finals to be played in Strandhill G. C. Sligo on 2nd October. Other members of the panel who played during various rounds during this competition were Jean O’Donovan, Margaret O’Sulivan, Mary Donnelly and Jean Conway. Congratulations to the captain of the team Mary Lou Carroll, and acting Captain on the day, Frances Carroll. The team would like to thank the Lady Captain Nell and the large number of supporters who were present to cheer them on. All the members were kept informed informed by our App on a stroke by stroke basis.
The very popular Bernie Twomey Memorial an 18 hole S/F competition takes place on Sunday 12 September. Please have your name on the list in the locker room by Thursday 9th for the draw for partners. Captains day of the Coastal Alliance takes place in Tramore GC on Wednesday 8th September.
There isn’t a competition on Thursday 9th due to the golf outing on Friday.

Results: the results of the August 9 Hole were : First Ger Curran with a fabulous 45 points, Second was Phil Kelly with 41 pts and Third was the ever consistent Bridget Blackwell who had 40 points. Well done all.
The Killeagh Classic: Lady Winners of this ever popular classic include : Best Ladies, Ann Rochford 88 points b9; 2nd Ladies Betty Joyce 88 points; Best Thursday Jean O’Donovan, Marcella Mc Govern and Aisling Fennell 94 points. 3rd Wednesday Mulligan Family 91points.
Golf Outing to Faithlegg GC on Friday 10th September for what promises to be a very enjoyable day of golf.
