Ladies Notes w/e Sun 6th Sep 2020

June Whyte enjoys a Purple patch! It was a case of déjà vu on Sunday last as June Whyte went up to accept the winner’s trophy in the Bernie Twomey Memorial competition from Bernie’s sister Reena McDonnell. It was June’s third win in a Major in as many weeks! June was quick to acknowledge that it was Bernie Twomey who first introduced her to golf. June had a fine score of 39 points playing off 18. Catherine Ruane played her usual solid golf to take second place with 38 points playing off 18 while her mother Deirdre maintained her good run of form capturing the Gross.

Our very busy Club Secretary Bridget Blackwell playing off 35 returned a great score of 35 points to take third prize. Joan Sheehan has become somewhat of a Category winning specialist winning Cat. A playing off 21 with 32 points. Aine Parks is playing very well at the moment and won Cat B playing off 28 with 31 points. In Cat C Geraldine Hickey emerged the worthy winner with 35 points playing off 33. Many thanks to Derry Twomey and family for sponsoring.

August 9 Hole Competition: Mary Herlihy has been playing really great golf this season. Mary won the August 9 hole competition playing off 31 with 41 points. Congratulations to all the winners.
