Hope you had an enjoyable Christmas. Initially there were fist bumps when we heard Golf could carry on. However the joy was short lived- lockdown for the month of January at least.
Competitions: the Christmas competition was well subscribed. Well done to all those who took part in challenging conditions. The winner was June Whyte playing off 19 with 21 points on count back. Second was Jean Conway playing off 23 also with 21 points. Third was Nora Flynn who plays off 32 with 21 points. The December 9 Hole competition sponsored by Ger Hickey was also popular. The winner was Denise Nugent playing off 22 with 30 points, second was Phil Kelly playing off 31 with 28 points, and third was Trish O’Shea with 26 points.
The 9 Hole Competition and 13 Hole are ready to roll for February. Should 2 holes be rested you may still enter the Competition playing seven and eleven holes respectively. Don’t worry the the Course will continue to be maintained to its usual high standard.
Keep well and safe everybody. We look forward to Golf resuming in early Spring.
