Ladies Notes w/e 23rd Aug 2020

Weather is the Winner Unfortunately due to the very inclement weather last week we had to cancel our much anticipated Club Outing to Dundrum on Friday last. Plans are underway to organise an alternative event – date to be decided! Another victim of the weather was the Mary Herlihy sponsored Club 18 hole competition. Again this will be re-scheduled.

Cleanzone Open Day in West Waterford: This Thursday, August 27th Cleanzone generously sponsor a Ladies Open Day in West Waterford. The format is a Champagne Scramble which is a great format when all three team members can get involved. Please contact the Clubhouse to book in – non-members €12 and members €6. Phone 058 43216

Deirdre Ruane on the Mark again! Last weekend an Open Ladies and Gents singles very generously sponsored by Country Store took place in West Waterford. The inform Deirdre Ruane playing off 15 returned 37 points to win the Ladies prize. Sincere thanks to Conor Lannen and Country Store

President’s Prize: On Sunday next all the Ladies will be out in force. Our hardworking President Pat Murphy is putting up a prize. This major is always very keenly contested. Please ensure that your name is on the list as a draw for partners will take place on Thursday. The Presentation will take place at 7.30 in line with Covid 19 regulations.

Dalton Jewellers Matchplay: The Dalton Jewellers sponsored matchplay competition is progressing well. The draw for the Plate section will take place this week.

Condolences : On behalf of the Lady members I would like to express our sincere sympathy to Marie T Curran on the death of her mother Peg O Connor, Grange. May She Rest in Peace
