Seamus has us on the edge of our Seats:
Late last night our very own Seamus Power managed a top ten finish in only his second Major on the PGA tour. Throughout the four days at the Southern Hills course in Tusla, Oklahoma Seamus showed tremendous resilience and coolness. Considering that the final score to reach a play off was 5 under and the list of golfing luminaries that finished behind him, Seamus’s 1 under to finish 9th was brilliant. Roll on the Irish Open in Mount Juliet, Kilkenny when we can get to see Seamus playing. This competition commences on Thursday 30th June.

Open Three Ball sponsored by the Wine Buff:
Aishling, Jean and Trish add to their Wine Cellars!
On Thursday last West Waterford hosted a well supported 3 Ball Champagne scramble sponsored by the Wine Buff. Aishling Fennell from the Gold Coast, Jean O Donovan and Trish O Shea from West Waterford teamed up to bring home a great score of 85 points. Indeed Jean and Trish were building on fine wins the previous week! Filling the second spot with 81 points we had our Lady Captain Ciara Donnelly, Mary Herlihy and Ger Curran, another trio who are on fire at the moment. Just one point behind with 80 points we had Mary Lou Carroll, Maeve Morrissey Dungarvan GC and Una Mulligan who played lovely golf on the day. Many thanks to our Sponsors the Wine Buff
