West Waterford Buzzing: Throughout last week the carpark in West Waterford was busy as the annual Killeagh Classic took place.  Entries were very good and the winning team brought in 99 points. Well done to Ken Power, Damian Ryan and Pat Kelly

Intermediate Team go down in the Blazing Sun: On Sunday our Intermediate team of June Whyte, Jo Swayne, Mary Lou Carroll, Marie T Curran and Denise Nugent travelled to Fermoy to play the home side.  The sun blazed down, the greens were lightning fast and oh was it warm! On the day, the West Waterford team went home without a victory despite their best efforts.   Many thanks must also go to the Caddies Joanne Fox, Aine Parks, Denis Looby, Phil Kelly and Finola Butler who pushed the trollies up hills and down dales.  West Waterford will live to fight another day.

President’s Prize to the Ladies:  On Sunday next the ladies play for the President’s prize, very kindly presented by our hardworking President David Condon.  This is an 18 hole Stroke GOY Medal competition which should make it interesting if these current weather conditions prevail!.  Be sure and put your name on the noticeboard.  The draw will take place on Thursday.

Merrys Gastro Pub 18 Hole Stableford:  On Thursday the 18 Hole Stableford  competition sponsored by Merrys Gastro Pub continues.  This competition was also played on Sunday the 17th. A good warm up for Sunday’s Major and also a chance to visit Merrys Gastro Pub in Lower Main St., Dungarvan

Get Into Golf:  It is lovely to see so many of the Get Into Golf ladies out on the course.  The Buddy System is working very well and, on behalf of Una Mulligan, Get Into Golf co-ordinator I would like to thank all those members who put themselves forward to be a Golf Buddy.

Dalton Jeweller Club Matchplay:  The draw for the Dalton Jewellers club Matchplay will be made this week.
