Fine Win for Revive Active Team:
On Sunday West Waterford played in the first round of the Revive Active competition. Having had a great run to reach the All Ireland semi-finals in Strandhill last year, our very competent team resumed their winning ways when overcoming a strong Dungarvan team on a sun drenched Dungarvan course. The teams were evenly matched and the standard of golf was excellent. The combinations of Mary Lou Carroll and Marie T Curran, Finola Butler and Denise Nugent, Joanne Fox and Eithna Ashby, June Whyte and Ciara Donnelly, Jo Swayne and Una Mulligan did West Waterford proud. Many thanks to Dungarvan Golf Club for hosting the match. It was lovely to see so many West Waterford supporters enjoying the excellent golf on offer. In the next round West Waterford will be playing Tramore or the Gold Coast.

Successful Bealtaine Classic:
West Waterford has been a busy place over the last 10 days. The Bealtaine Classic concluded on Saturday May 8th. It was a very successful classic and congratulations to the overall winners, Denis Herlihy, Mary Herlihy and Darragh Herlihy – A family affair ! Well done to Ger Curran, Nora Flynn and Ciara Donnelly who bagged the Best Ladies team prize. Many thanks to the Queally family of Fenor Pigs who generously sponsored the classic.
On behalf of the Lady Captain Ciara Donnelly I would like to express our sympathy to fellow Club member Phil Kelly on the recent death of her sister Breda Daly. May she Rest in Peace.
