The 23rd annual Killeagh Classic was held at West Watererford on Thursday Friday and Saturday of last week. A record 147 teams (441 golfers) played the champagne scramble over the magnificent 18 hole course. All present including the first timers were loud in their praise of the facilities, in particular the splendid condition of the newly refurbished bunkers. Once again we say well done to Ray Rochford and his team on a meticulousy managed event with everything operating like clockwork. As usual there were prizes for 35 teams. In first place was Abbeylands with 106points, Murray’s pharmacy came second with 100 just one point ahead of Eddie Hayes
