New Owners Golf Classic October 2 – 9th 2021
Our Open Classic continues in West Waterford from Oct 4th to Oct 9th 2021.
The format is a 3 Person 18 hole Champagne Scramble with 2 scores counting on every hole. A handicap limit of 28 for men and 36 for ladies will apply. Teams can be ladies, gents or mixed. You could win a fourball at Mount Juliet, Ballybunnion or Waterford Castle along with an overnight B&B. In case you are confused, winning teams have the option of including a fourth person in their prize. This is a celebration Classic so we are feeling generous. It could be you. Along with prizes for the top 5 teams there will also be a ladies team prize and daily prizes. Entry Fee is €90 per team of 3. Re-entry is €15 per person. In conjunction with the main event we are also holding a 9 hole 3 person champagne scramble on Tuesday and Friday. So if you don’t feel up to 18 holes why not play the 9 hole. Entry fee for the 9 hole is €20 per person. We are also running a raffle in conjunction with the classic. For bookings ring 058 43216.
We are most grateful to our main sponsor Dungarvan Transport.

All Ireland Bronze Medals for West Waterford Ladies.
Our Revive Active Fourball team were in Strandhill GC on Saturday for the All-Ireland semi-final of the competition. After a very close contest our brave ladies were defeated by the eventual winners Ballybunnion. We say thank you and well done to our team and manager. You have represented your club with pride and skill throughout the competition, and shown that West Waterford GC ladies are a force to be reckoned with at National level.

Your Playing Handicap
Under Golf Ireland regulations players are obliged to have their handicap index, Course handicap and Playing handicap on their scorecard. When you sign in for a competition at West Waterford you are issued with a label which should be attached to your score card. On the label you will find the date and competition details. You will also find your name. CH = Course handicap. HI = Handicap Index, and PH = your Playing Handicap for this particular competition.
