Seamus Power finishes tied 4th at RSM Classic in Georgia
If you are looking for Seamus Power those days the most likely place to find him is on the top half of page one on the PGA Tour leaderboard. Seamus produced another excellent performance at the weekend in the RSM Classic at Sea Island in Georgia. Three rounds in the 60’s saw the West Waterford man in serious contention for his second PGA Tour victory in the final round on Sunday. So we can talk about the (what ifs), but the fact is that Seamus is playing and performing at the highest level in his golfing career. The US golf networks have come to realise his talent as evidenced by the extra exposure he is now receiving. Seamus was playing to win at the weekend and came very close to doing so. He finished on 15 under par for a share of fourth place and a cheque for $288,000. Seamus was the first to congratulate Taylor Gooch on his maiden victory on 22 under par. The weekend result sees Seamus move up to 44th place in the FedEx cup rankings and 70th place in the World rankings. As the wraparound season draws to a close, Seamus Power can be duly proud of his performance in 2021, the highlight being his first PGA Tour victory. Thank you Seamus for the hours of enjoyment you have given us throughout the year. We look forward to congratulating you personally in the near future. Continued success in 2022. We will be waiting and watching, and keeping a keen eye on page one.
