Major Victories for Bryson and Mary at the Weekend
Congratulations to Mary Herlihy on winning the Lady captain’s prize at the weekend.
Bryson de Chambeau also recorded his first major on the same weekend. Five years ago this month Mary and Bryson met up at the memorable Walker Cup event in Royal Lytham. A look at the accompanying photograph will rekindle memories for the large contingent who travelled to cheer on Gary Hurley and the famous five who won the Walker Cup in 2015. The green hat looks well on Bryson.

Temporary Local Rule
Owing to the variable weather conditions we are currently permitting Placing on Fairways only until further notice. A lot of time and effort goes into keeping fairways cut and placing is in to keep them in the best condition. You can help by replacing divots. Keep an eye on the notice board as local rules will change depending on weather conditions.

Relief for Embedded Ball
“A ball embedded in its own pitch-mark in the ground through the green may be lifted, cleaned and dropped, without penalty, as near as possible to the spot where it lay but not nearer the hole.”
