Comeragh Oil Winter League – Last chance to Qualify.

The final qualifying round will come to a conclusion on Sunday next 8th March. Due to the prevailing weather conditions over the past few weeks Round 4 has dragged on for long enough. On Sunday evening the top 8 teams will progress to the match-play stage of our league. The team pairings are as follows : 1st vs 8th, 2nd vs 7th,

3rd vs 6th, and 4th vs 5th. Team listings will be available from Monday 9th March and will also be posted on the notice board. Two weeks will be allocated for completion of the top 8 matches and the onus is on individual pairings to arrange their matches within this timescale. Individual contact numbers will be available from the office. Teams not currently within the top 8 should note that team positions may very well change following round 4 and should therefore make every effort to improve their respective team positions by Sunday next.

A lot of time and effort has gone into getting our greens to the high standard our members and visitors have come to expect at West Waterford. So please repair your pitch marks and even if you can’t find your own please fix another one. Your cooperation would be greatly appreciated.

World Handicap System

The new World Handicap System will be implemented on November 2nd 2020. Local seminars are being arranged to inform handicap committees on the structure of the new system. Members will be kept informed as we receive ongoing updates.
