Open Week at West Waterford Friday 19th July to Sunday 28th July

Open week begins on Friday 19th July and continues until Sunday 28th July.  We have 9 hole, 13 hole and 18 hole individual and team events to suit all tastes.  Check our fixture list above and book your tee time by ringing 058 43216.

Killeagh GAA Classic attracts record entry.

The 23rd annual Killeagh Classic was held at West Watererford on Thursday Friday and Saturday of last week.  A record 147 teams (441 golfers) played the champagne scramble over the magnificent 18 hole course.  All present including the first timers were loud in their praise of the facilities, in particular the splendid condition of the newly refurbished bunkers.  Once again we say well done to Ray Rochford and his team on a meticulousy managed event with everything operating like clockwork.  As usual there were prizes for 35 teams. In first place was Abbeylands with 106points, Murray’s pharmacy came second with 100 just one point ahead of Eddie Hayes team.  Best Gross went to Rathcormac Tyres team.  We hope you all enjoyed your visit to West Waterford and we look forward to seeing many of you back for our upcoming Open Week

AIG Barton Shield

Our Barton Shield team put in a great performance against a fancied Faithlegg team at Dungarvan on Saturday and were unlucky to be defeated on the 18th hole.

Belvedere Trophy

Edward Hickey’s Belvedere Trophy produced a magnificent display  against Williamstown on their home patch on Saturday.  We now carry a 5-0 lead into the home leg at West Waterford on Saturday 20th July at 12.30.  We haven’t lost sight of the fact that its only half time and will be ready for a backlash.

Fred Perry Trophy

Due to circumstances completely outside our control the Area East final vs Templemore has been rescheduled for Monday 22nd July.

Club Matchplay Events

All first round matches in the Club Fourball have been completed and we appreciate your cooperation.  Please note that outstanding matches in the Club Singles Matchplay must be completed by Thursday 18th July.  Absolutely no exceptions.

Club Mixed Foursomes

We could do with a few extra pairs for the mixed foursomes. Remember players may pick their own partners for the event which will be played over one day only.  Date to be announced.
