Busy week for Seamus Power on PGA Tour.
West Waterford’s Séamus Power brilliantly qualified for last week’s Wells Fargo Championship when he fired an eight- under 62 to win the Monday qualifier at Gaston Country Club in North Carolina. The win is a huge boost for Power, who was forced to withdraw before the start of the Zurich Classic of New Orleans two weeks ago after testing positive for COVID-19. Following a steady opening round on Thursday Seamus continued his good run and safely made the cut on Friday. A four over round on Saturday saw him loose some ground as he dropped to 68th facing into the final round on Sunday. He rallied in the final round to shoot one under for a final score of 4 over and a share of 54th place. Seamus is back in action this week in the AT&T Byron Nelson in Texas.
