Presidents Prize 2022 Fri July 29th – Sunday July 31st
We would like to extend our very best wishes to David and Íde on the hosting of the Presidents prize at West Waterford this weekend. Since taking up the position David has worked tirelessly on and off the course in the formation of our new structure at West Waterford. The results of his efforts can be seen on the course and within the clubhouse. David rarely misses a meeting and is always forthcoming in the organization of club events. Members have a chance this weekend to show their appreciation by playing in the Presidents prize. Qualifying rounds are on Friday and Saturday with the final round on Sunday with a shotgun start at 1pm. Presentation of prizes in the clubhouse at 6pm on Sunday evening. Mark Shanahan wins Arklow Senior Scratch Cup.
Congratulations to club member Mark Shanahan on winning the Arklow Senior Scratch cup played on Saturday 9th July.
Gary Hurley to play in European Challenge Tour Event
Local supporters will have a unique opportunity to see their hero when Gary tees it up at the K-Club on Thursday next July 28th – 31st. The event carries a prize fund of 250,000 euros. At the Roma Alps Open last weekend Gary finished joint second on 17 under par with three rounds of 70, 66, and 63, just 3 shots behind the winner. Gary is now in 5th place on the Order of Merit. We wish Gary the very best of luck at the K-Club and your support would be most welcome.
