Comeragh Oil Winter league Final Sunday 8th May
Having topped the table for the entire league Noel Conway’s Stallions confirmed their superiority with a resounding 4-2 victory over Jimmy Murphy’s Wolves on Sunday last. It was an extra special occasion for Noel Conway as he accepted the Cole Memorial trophy for the fourth time. While the seasoned performers fought bravely there were notable performances from many of the newcomers to the league and this augurs well for the future of the competition.
Our generous sponsors Comeragh Oil have been with us now for nearly 20 years and we are most grateful for their participation. Paddy Joe Ryan was on hand to present the prizes on Sunday evening.
We would like to thank the winter league committee of Jimmy Murphy, Eoin Prendergast, and Pat Power. A lot of work goes into the event from December to April, from the formation of teams to weekly scorekeeping and the communication of weekly updates to the participants. To all the players who took part we thank you for supporting the league through the winter months. 2022 has gotten off to a great start and we look forward to more of the same in 2023. Support your team, support your club.

Bealtaine Club Classic
Our fund raising classic drew to a close on Saturday 7th May with close to 150 teams participating over the week. Weather conditions were ideal and the course was in excellent condition. The organizing committee put a lot of work into the event and were rewarded with a positive response. The proceeds will go towards the ongoing upkeep and development of our facilities where great progress has been made to date.
Thank you to everyone who supported the classic and we look forward to welcoming back the many visiting teams in the future. Our ladies and gents members once again rose to the occasion with many playing numerous times during the week. A special word of thanks to our main sponsor Fenor Pig Farms and all the other sponsors who contributed in various ways to the success of our classic.

Presentation of Prizes
We had our first monthly presentation of prizes in the clubhouse on Sunday evening. Paddy Joe Ryan presented the Comeragh Oil prizes. We also had representatives from The Old Bank, Glanbia CountryLife, FBD and The Garden Cafe on hand to make their respective presentations for various competitions during the month of April. We are delighted to announce that our sponsors have committed to monthly sponsorships during the summer months. Prizewinners who were not present on the evening can collect their prizes at the office.
Inter Club Competitions
Our Fred Perry team travelled to Dungarvan on Thursday for their match with the home team. Dungarvan jumped into an early lead to go 2 up but we got it back to 2-1 in the third match. The remaining matches went to the 19th with Dungarvan winning the first tie breaker to claim a 3.5 to 1.5 victory. We would like to thank our hosts for the warm welcome and wish them well in the next round.
