Rules Awareness Night
A Rules Night will be held in the clubhouse on Tuesday 12th March at 7pm. Presenters will be Marion Arnold and Kevin Murray from Golf Ireland. All members are encouraged to attend to get a better understanding of the rules of golf, especially those playing on Inter-club teams.
Whiskey Tasting Fundraiser
A Whiskey Tasting Evening will be held in the clubhouse on Friday 15th March at 7.30pm. The bar will be open throughout the evening and finger-food will be served after the tasting. Tickets cost €50 and are on sale from the club shop. All support is greatly appreciated.
Get into Golf Men and Ladies
Our Get into golf programme for men and women will commence on 10th of April. Those who are interested please contact Niall Colleran (086 6031169) and Una Mulligan (087 6929669) before 31st March.

Winter Rules
Please note the following Winter Rules in play for the duration of the Winter period:
- Place on the ground within 6 inches on Fairway & Rough.
- Bunkers: Out of play until further notice*. Drop outside bunker at nearest point of relief, not nearer the hole
- Buggies are not permitted on the course until further notice*
- *Keep an eye on the noticeboard and BRS for updates in relation to Bunker and Buggy status
Note: Given the soft ground conditions, a temporary rule is in place allowing players a free drop if a ball cannot be found in open ground, in agreement with playing partners.
Junior Academy News
2024 Junior Membership forms are available in the club office and parents are invited to rejoin their Juniors for the new year. The Fred Daly provisional panel has been selected and the relevant parents have been contacted in relation to this. Trials will begin in the next couple of weeks. As per the note above, there is a Rules Night being held in the clubhouse on Tuesday 12th March at 7pm. All J5 and J4 Juniors are requested to attend this important event.
Fantasy Golf 2024
This week’s Cognizant Classic was delayed until Monday due to heavy rain. A few players on fantasy rosters made a very strong finish on Sunday and are in contention to win. Our overall fantasy leaderboard looks like it will be very much all to play for going into the final week. A full update will be communicated on the WhatsApp group when everything is finalised.
The final week is the Arnold Palmer Invitational and is another signature event. All the big names will be playing, including Seamus Power, and big points will be on offer. Best of luck to all!
