West Waterford Golfers Compete on the Professional Stage

This past week, Séamus Power was in action at the PGA Tour’s ZOZO Championship in Japan. Competing in Japan for the first time, Séamus displayed promising form, beginning with a steady round of 69. He followed up with rounds of 62, 72, and 66, ultimately finishing at 11 under par, securing a tie for 13th place. This strong performance propelled Séamus back to 2nd in the FedEx Fall Series standings, bringing him closer to qualifying for the prestigious Signature Events at the start of 2025. After a week off next week, the FedEx Fall Series will resume with the final three events in November.

Meanwhile, Gary Hurley took a well-deserved break following his recent efforts in China. This week, he will compete in the Rolex Challenge Tour Grand Final in Mallorca. 2024 has been a successful season for Gary, who currently ranks 43rd in the Challenge Tour standings. With one final opportunity to climb the leaderboard, we wish Gary the best of luck in closing out his season on a high note.
