Gary Hurley News

With Seamus Power not in action on the PGA Tour this week, our attention turned to Gary playing at the NMB Championship on the Challenge Tour in South Africa. After opening with a 71, he had it all to do to make the cut, but rallied on the back 9 on Friday to shoot a 3 under round of 69 to just make the weekend on the number. Gary followed with a solid 70 to move into a tie for 36th on Saturday and as it turned out, bad weather came in and the tournament was reduced to 54 holes so this was his final position at the end of the week. The Challenge Tour now has a break before the next tournament in the middle of March.

Fantasy Golf 2024

I’m not sure what the thinking behind selecting this week’s winner, Jake Knapp. Yes, he has been having a reasonably good first year on the PGA Tour, but he still must go down as a surprise winner. However, Bunker Warriors selected him, along with 2nd placed Sami Valimaki and 3rd placed Stephan Jaeger, which meant he recorded a massive score of 453pts for the week. Not only was this enough to finish top of our little league (by 105pts!), it was enough for Bunker Warriors to finish 1st in the world this week!!! A huge congrats to Bunker Warriors from everyone in our league. What a performance! A mention must go to Fact or File also, who also selected winner Jake Knapp to finish 2nd in our league for the week. Thanks to his superb week, Bunker Warriors has jumped into 6th place on the overall leaderboard where things are getting very tight all of a sudden. Still leading the way on 2898pts is UnderParDP but the pack is closing in fast behind!

There are now only 2 weeks to go so it’s getting to crunch time! Week 9 is the Cognizant Classic in Florida. Best of luck to all!
