Hurley makes waves at Rosslare

On Saturday last playing in the South East Senior Alliance at Rosslare Golf Club, Gary Hurley further enhanced his reputation as West Waterford’s new star in the making.

His level par round over the very testing links course was good enough to take top honors from a strong field of senior golfers. At the tender age of 16 this is quite an achievement for the Irish Boys panelist. With his talent and work ethic further success is inevitable and we all wish him well.
   

Power fires 4-under 68 as Bucs finish 8th in Puerto Rico


Senior Seamus Power fired a 4-under 68 on Tuesday.

RIO GRANDE, P.R. (Feb. 23, 2010) – Senior Seamus Power (Waterford, Ireland) fired a team-best round of 4-under-par 68 on the final day of the Puerto Rico Classic Tuesday at the Rio Mar Golf Club’s River Course.

Sunshine Golf Classic 2010

Since the 2009 Sunshine Classic, West Waterford Golf Club has achieved another milestone in the short history of the club, when we were voted Club of the Year 2009, by the G.U.I Munster Branch. The award is in recognition of the club’s achievements by our club members and management working together and the promotion of the game of golf especially amongst the youth.
