Jimmy Bruen Shield

West Waterford lost out to Dunmore East on a 3.5 to 1.5 scoreline in the first round at Faithlegg on Saturday last. Thanks to Kenny Kelleher and his team for representing the club.

Pierce Purcell Shield.

The first round takes place at the Gold Coast on Saturday 25^th May. West Waterford have been drawn against the host club in a challenging opening contest. Team manager Kieran Foley will need to have his team in top form if we are to progress in this competition.

Belvedere Trophy

Manager Edward Hickey will be hoping for a comprehensive victory in the home leg vs Faithlegg on Tuesday 21^st May. The return leg goes ahead at Faithlegg on Tuesday 28^th May.

Captain’s Prize

Captain Mr Eddie Stack will host his captain’s prize over two weekends this year. Qualifying rounds will be held on Friday 24^th, Saturday 25^th and Sunday 26^th May. Top 65 qualifiers will play for the captain’s prize on Saturday 1^st June. Online booking for the qualifying rounds is now available on the club website. Please remember you must have played in at least 3 qualifying competitions this year in order to be eligible to win the Captain’s Prize.

JB Carr Trophy – Thursday 18^th April

Following a close contest, Tramore emerged victorious in the JB Carr trophy played at West Waterford on Thursday last. With the home side enjoying a slender advantage after the front 9 it looked as though we might build on this on the back. However the visitors drew on all their experience in the tight matches and deservedly won the contest by 3.1/2 to 1.1/2. Thanks to manager Terry O Callaghan and team members Tom Butler, Noel Conway, Bertie Hallahan, Michael Lawlor, Pat Murphy, Phil Kinsella, John Flynn, Donal O Brien, Fintan Gee and Ray Rochford.
