Open Week 2012

Our Open Week got off to the best possible start on Friday last with a 3 person scramble played in brilliant sunshine.  Saturday saw a repeat of the sunshine and a large crowd turned out to pit their wits against the Coolcormack course in the strokeplay competition.  Despite the rain making an unwelcome return on Sunday we once again saw a large turnout for the stableford competition off the blue markers.  Following a fantastic start our Open Week continues this week with a variety of competitions each day up to and including Sunday 29^th July.  Check our website for the list of events and avail of our online booking system.  We look forward to welcoming you and can guarantee you will enjoy your visit.

Golfer of the Year 2012 

After 3 rounds in our Golfer of the Year competition Brian Shanahan leads the way on 106 points from Patrick O’Riordan on 104 with another members of the Shanahan family, Jordan lying in third place with 102 points.  With almost 40 players still in contention the holiday at Dundrum is still up for grabs.  The next GOY competition is the President’s prize which takes place on 18^th August.

Tuesday High Handicap

Our very popular high handicap competition will resume on Tuesday 31^st July.  All outstanding high handicap vouchers are now available at the office.

Club Singles Matchplay

The draw for the first round is now posted on the noticeboard and players should ensure that matches are played by the due dates.  Entry fee of €5 must be paid before match is played.

Club Fourball and Club Mixed Foursomes

The club fourball has now progressed to the third round, while the mixed foursomes has reached the semi final stage.  Due to the Open week currently underway, the completion date for the next round in both club competitions is set for 10^th August.

Al Eile Stud Open Competition

Our very popular Al Eile Stud Open Competition continues every Wednesday until the grand final on 26^th September. Our thanks to Al Eile Stud who have kindly sponsored this competition. 

Junior Golf
