Pierce Purcell Shield

Our Purcell team under the guidance of Liam Hansbury and Phil Kinsella travel to Faithlegg on Saturday when they take on Lismore in the first round.  Best of luck to all on the day.

Belvedere Trophy

Edward Hickeys team will have played the first away leg vs Gold Coast by now.  The home leg is scheduled for West Waterford on Tuesday 29^th May  at 4.30pm.  Again we wish the team and manager the very best of luck.

Members are requested to familiarise themselves with the notice regarding the conditions relating to playing in club competitions.   This policy is being introduced in line with GUI guidelines and we would earnestly ask all players to comply with those conditions.  If there are any queries please contact Phil Kinsella (handicap secretary) or Jimmy Murphy (competition secretary).  Thank you for your cooperation.

Minor Scratch Cup

This event takes place on Sunday May 27th, 18 Hole Stableford. 18 Plus handicap. Sponsored by the Seanachaí Bar & Restaurant.

June Bank Holiday Weekend 2^nd, 3^rd and 4^th June Open Summer Waltz. Team of 3 €45. Ladies, Gents or Mixed. Sponsored by The Country Store.

Summer Seniors Competitions: Commencing Friday 1^st June  West Waterford will hold a series of Open Seniors on selected Fridays from June to September. Check website for dates.

Al Eile Stud Open Competition

Our very popular Al Eile Stud Open Competition continues every Wednesday until the grand final on 26^th September. Our thanks to Al Eile Stud who have kindly sponsored this competition. 

Golfer of the Year 2012

The winner this year will receive an overnight stay with B&B, one evening meal and a round of golf for two at Dundrum House Hotel.  Valuable green fees are available to runners up.  So if you fancy your chances make a note of the date for the first GOY event of 2012. Full details are available on the poster now on the notice board.  This season’s Golfer of the year competition will take place over five rounds commencing on June 9^th – 10^th with an 18-hole stroke play event.  Overall there will be three stroke play and two Stableford competitions with a players best 4 scores to count for GOY points.  As usual the Captain’s and President’s prizes are included with the two round averages determining a player’s score for goy points.  In our weekend competitions a player’s first entry will count for goy points.
