Brickey Golf Society

The Brickey golf society was held on Saturday 6th in Dungarvan Golf Club. It was the tenth year of the Brickey society.

Winter League 2010

After two rounds of the Comeragh Oil Winter League the pace is now hotting up as teams are out in their numbers in a bid to qualify for a place in the Matchplay stages. Clashmore made a big move from last place after round 1 and jumped 7 places to stake their position in the top 16. The Spring retained their position at top of the table with Killeagh keeping the pressure up in second place. Round 3 starts this week and in order to facilitate the maximum number of entries the league now runs from Monday to Sunday for the duration of the remaining rounds. Once again team captains are reminded to contact team members, and ensure a full team performance. The following is a list of team standings after Round 2.

The Sunshine Golf Classic

Killester Travel has kindly agreed to sponsor a fantastic sunshine holiday to the value of €500 for each member of the winning team. An open meeting for all club members will be held on the 10^th of February in the clubhouse at 7.30pm. We are looking for members who will help to organize the event and would be grateful if you could attend.

South East League

The South East league is commencing on Sunday 14th March. Group B consists of: Dungarvan, Gold Coast, Mitchelstown and West Waterford.

List is posted on the notice board in clubhouse for anybody in correct handicap categories to sign up now.

The South East Alliance

Deise Golf Winter Open

The Deise Golf Winter open is an 18-hole single Stableford competition open to both male and female golfers. Entry fee is €15.00. Competition dates are:

8^th – 14^th February in Faithlegg Golf Club, 15^th –21^st Feb. in Gold Coast Golf Club, 22^nd –28^th Feb. in Tramore golf club and 1^st- 7^th March in West Waterford Golf Club

Junior Notes

Junior mid-term competitions will take place on Wednesday 17^th February at 10am and Friday 19^th at 10am.
