Winter League 2010

There has been a phenomenal response from members to this year’s winter league.  The committee would like to sincerely thank everyone for their cooperation.  Team captains are reminded to contact all team members in an effort to get maximum participation in the league.

Team lists complete with contact numbers are available at the office or by contacting Pat Power at 087-6611276.  Hopefully the ‘ice age’ will have ended in time to get round 1 up and running on schedule.  The first round is now scheduled to start on Wed.13th Jan and runs till Sunday 17th: Jan.  This round can also be played from Wed.20th: Jan until Sunday 24th: Jan.  Remember you can play as often as you wish during any round with your best score to count, subject to compliance with Winter League Rules 2010 posted on notice board.

New Competition for all three Dungarvan Clubs

A new initiative that will involve members of the three local golf clubs taking part in what will be known as “The Dungarvan Masters” is scheduled to take place in 2010.

During the months of April, May and June the players from Dungarvan, Gold Coast and West Waterford golf clubs participating in the respective Clubs Open Competitions can enter the Dungarvan Masters Competition for a fee of €10.

The individual player’s best 3 aggregate scores will determine their qualification for the Masters Final Day in Mount Juliet.  The number of qualifying positions made available will be determined by number of entrants. We will have more details on this event early in the New Year.
