1^st: John O'Connell (9) - 36pts. 2^nd: Alan Harty (scratch) - 36pts. 3^rd: Tom Butler (12) - 35pts. Gross: Michael O'Keeffe (8) - 28pts.

South East Senior Alliance:

West Waterford Golf and Country Club are delighted to be playing host to the South East Senior Alliance once more on Sunday 10^th December. The crème de la crème of the South East will be pitting their wits against the course and we look forward to the visit of Martin O’Mahony and his fellow golfers. Alan Harty will be keen to put in another good performance following his win in the President’s Prize of the Alliance in Clonmel recently.

Green-keepers Outing:

At the Green-keepers outing held at Fota Island on Friday, Pat Murphy with 39pts earned himself a place amongst the prizewinners. Well done Pat.

Winter League 2006 kindly sponsored by Comeragh Oil:

Preparations are well underway for the Winter League which following the success of last year’s event is bound to generate huge interest. The League is scheduled to commence on Wednesday 3^rd January. Any member interested in participating in the league is urged to place their name on the lists posted in the Clubhouse. All new members are especially welcome to take part and again the first step is to place names on the list or inform the office that they intend to play on a team. All members are asked to keep an eye on the notice boards for current news on the Comeragh Oil sponsored competition.

Brickies Win!

Congratulations to the Brickies on their convincing victory over Kilgobnet in the Western Final on Sunday.

Saturday 23^rd December – 9 hole Scramble, 1pm shotgun start followed by finger food, entertainment and presentation of prizes.

Christmas Present Ideas:

Vouchers may be purchased at the shop in West Waterford Golf Club which may be exchanged for golf merchandise or green fees at West Waterford. Another possible Christmas gift would be the “Dungarvan Golf Triangle Ticket” which offers 3 games of golf playing Monday to Friday at West Waterford, Dungarvan and Gold Coast for €80.

Annual General Meeting:

The Annual General Meeting of the Men’s Club took place on Wednesday night last and the election of officers took place as follows, Captain: Michael O’Dwyer, Vice-captain: Malcolm Ashby, President: Brendan Cullinan, Honorary Secretary: Maurice Hallahan, Handicap Secretary: Pat Power, Honorary Treasurer: John Flynn, Competition Secretary: John Laverty, PRO: Eddie Stack, Junior Officer: Justin Spratt, Ex-Officio: Ollie Broderick, Committee Members: Billy Nugent, Austin Spratt, Terry O’Callaghan, Bertie Hallahan, Jimmy Murphy, John Murphy, Edward Hickey, Willie Lyons and Larry Veale. I would like to take this opportunity to wish the very best of luck to Michael and his committee for 2007 and best wishes also to Lady Captain Johanna Barron and her Committee for the coming year.
