Seamus Power in East Tennessee:

Seamus had a tough baptism in the world of American collegiate golf last weekend and passed with flying colours. At the Carpet Capital Collegiate he along with his fellow team Members from East Tennessee University, Rhys Davies and Gareth Shaw secured eighth placing in one of the toughest 18 team strong fields in American College golf. Freshman Seamus posted a fine closing 69 on the Sunday and East Tennessee (Buccaneers) head coach Fred Warren stated “for Seamus to come in as a freshman and have a 69 in the closing round says something about his potential”. Seamus will return to action on the 9th October at the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate in Birmingham Alabama. Members can follow Seamus and the East Tennessee Buccaneers golf team’s progress by visiting  www.etsubcs.com and clicking on the men’s golf link. We wish Seamus the very best for this and future tournaments.
