Friendship Cup:
The return match of the Friendship Cup Competition played at East Cork on Saturday resulted in East Cork matching the West Waterford score-line from the first match of 19 to 5 giving an overall result of a draw.

JB Carr Trophy
Our J.B. Carr Team were in action in Dungarvan Golf Club on Friday evening last and after a protracted battle our lads under the captaincy of Dr. Terry O’Callaghan had to give best to the home selection on a score-line of 3 to 2. We would like to congratulate Dungarvan on their win and wish them well for the remainder of the tournament and thank them for a good sporting contest and their hospitality on the day.
Scramble and Presentation of Prizes
The next Scramble takes place Friday 12th May, draw for partners at 6.30pm.
Subscriptions:
Subscriptions for 2006 should at this stage be paid in full, please remit the appropriate amount by post or to the office in person, immediately.
Our fixture booklet for the 2006 season has now been published and is now available from the office. All members are urged to pick up a copy in order to make themselves familiar with the up and coming events of what promises to be an extremely busy golfing year at West Waterford Golf and Country Club.
Dungarvan Golf International
This prestigious event now in its eighth year takes place from 23rd to the 25th May at our three local courses. The International which is jointly sponsored this year by Michael Ryan and his company Saltan Properties together with Bulmers is a showcase event for golf in the area and brings an influx of visitors to the town and surrounding areas which is of benefit to all. Any member of West Waterford, who brings a team, can avail of a free golf entry. This must be specified at the entry stage and all teams must include at least two visitors. Golf Lessons
T.W Murphy E.G.T.F is available for golf lessons. Timmy can be contacted by ringing 086-3521070 for an appointment.
Locker allocation:
The locker fee for 2006 is €15 and should now be paid, any member wishing to forfeit his/her locker is asked to inform the office so that vacant lockers may be made available for hire to members on the waiting list.
Timesheet Notice
Please remember: Players with their names on the timesheet have priority on the 1st tee.
All members are also urged to telephone the office if they wish to cancel a tee time that they have booked in the interest of fairness to all.
Condolences
The management and members of West Waterford offer their sincere condolences to the Whelan family of Ballymullala on the death of Joan also to Phil Kelly and the Hallahan family on the death of her Father Jimmy.
