Fred Daly Trophy. West Waterford Juniors moved on to the next round of the Fred Daly Trophy competition at the Gold Coast on Sunday where they beat the Dungarvan team 3.1/2 to 1.1/2
Well done to the team Captain Justin Spratt and to the team members David Curran, Cian Kearney, Philip Walshe, Philip Spratt and Kiaran Gee.

Congratulations:
Following shortly after his runner-up captainship of the Carriglea winter league team; club member Michael Healy playing off 18 won the Lismore Minor Scratch Cup with a blistering round of 83 on Sunday. Well done Michael, it looks like the "phisio' is working!
Friendship Cup:
The Friendship Cup is a competition between combinations of pairings from the Pierce Purcell, Barton Shield and Jimmy Bruen competitions for participating Golf Clubs. The first round took place at West Waterford on Saturday against East Cork. West Waterford has a comfortable lead of 19 to 5 going into the away match at East Cork.

Timesheet Notice
Please remember: Players with their names on the timesheet have priority on the 1st tee.
All members are also urged to telephone the office if they wish to cancel a tee time that they have booked in the interest of fairness to all.
Our fixture booklet for the 2006 season has now been published and is now available from the office. All members are urged to pick up a copy in order to make themselves familiar with the up and coming events of what promises to be an extremely busy golfing year at West Waterford Golf and Country Club.
Scramble, Presentation of Prizes and Club mixed Foursomes draw.
Our first scramble of the season will take place on Friday evening 28th April. It is hoped to have scrambles on a monthly basis for the summer months and all members are urged to try their utmost to play. Outstanding prize-giving follows the monthly scrambles in the future.
Subscriptions.
Subscriptions for 2006 should at this stage be paid in full, please remit the appropriate amount by post or to the office in person, immediately.
Dungarvan Golf International
This prestigious event now in its eighth year takes place from 23rd to the 25th May at our three local courses. The International which is jointly sponsored this year by Michael Ryan and his company Saltan Properties together with Bulmers is a showcase event for golf in the area and brings an influx of visitors to the town and surrounding areas which is of benefit to all. Any member of West Waterford, who brings a team, can avail of a free golf entry. This must be specified at the entry stage and all teams must include at least two visitors. Locker allocation:
The locker fee for 2006 is €15 and should now be paid, any member wishing to forfeit his/her locker is asked to inform the office so that vacant lockers may be made available for hire to members on the waiting list.
