WEST WATERFORD GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB

Gents Notes for week ending 22nd January 2005

Seamus Power wins the Park Hotel Supreme Sports Star of the Year.
At a packed function in the Park Hotel Dungarvan on Saturday night Seamus Power was selected as the Park Hotel Supreme Sports Star of the Year for 2005. This is a fantastic achievement for him, winning against all the other worthy monthly finalists. To list what Seamus has achieved at Golf in 2005 is extensive and would indeed make any Club proud. In the year ahead he already has many Golfing appointments starting in March where he has been selected to represent the G.U.I. in the South African Amateur Open Championship. In August Seamus will enter the East Tennessee State University where he has been accepted on a golf scholarship. The college is one of the top ranked schools in America and is coached by an American Hall of Fame Coach, Fred Warren. We at West Waterford congratulate him, wish him well in 2006 and look forward to reporting his achievements in the future.
