WEST WATERFORD GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB
Gents Notes for week ending 1st January 2005
Preparations are now almost complete for the Winter League kindly sponsored by Comeragh Oil, which following the success of last year’s event is bound to generate huge interest. The teams are now posted in the Clubhouse and its all systems go for the 1st round. The first round of the League is scheduled to commence on Wednesday 4th January to Sunday 8th January inclusive.

Saturday 31st December to Monday 2nd January Club competition, 16-hole Stableford
1st: Alan Harty (1) - 40pts. 2nd: Patrick O'Riordan (14) - 40pts. Gross: Mark Shanahan (+1) - 33pts. 3rd: Pat Power (Glass) (18) - 39pts. 4th: Patsy Collins (16) - 38pts. 5th: Kieran Curtin (20) - 37pts. High Handicap: Jack Douris (21) - 12pts.
Monday 26th to Friday 30th December - Junior fundraising competition, kindly sponsored by Mahers Golf Emporium Cork, 16-hole Stableford,

Open Autumn/Winter Wednesday Competition 13-hole Stableford Result from Wednesday 21st December.

2nd: Michael Landers (14) W.W.G.C.C. - 33pts back 7.
3rd: Billy McCarthy (15) W.W.G.C.C. - 33pts

Please note that this was the final Open Competition for the time being as the Winter League kindly sponsored by Comeragh Oil commences on Wednesday 4th January.

Subscriptions
Subscriptions for 2006 fall due on the 1st January 2006 please remit the appropriate amount by post or to the office in person, at your earliest convenience.
Golf Lessons
T.W Murphy E.G.T.F is available for golf lessons. Timmy can be contacted by ringing 086-3521070 for an appointment.
Locker Allocation
The locker fee for 2006 is €15 and is now payable, any member wishing to forfeit his/her locker is asked to inform the office so that vacant lockers may be made available for hire to members on the waiting list.
Timesheet Notice
Please remember: Players with their names on the timesheet have priority on the 1st tee.
All members are also urged to telephone the office if they wish to cancel a tee time that they have booked in the interest of fairness to all.
