The proceeds of the weekend competition taking place on Friday Saturday and Sunday 2nd, 3rd and 4th September is going to the Special Olympics Fund (Ireland). Valued member Derek Baker is very kindly sponsoring the event.

Intermediate Scratch Cup
The timesheet is now posted for our Intermediate Scratch Cup, which is kindly sponsored by Jim Quinn, The Moorings Bar and Restaurant. It takes place on Sunday 18th September and is an 18-hole stroke event with a handicap range of 12 to 18. There are limited times available even at this early stage, so to make your reservation please telephone West Waterford on 058-43216 or 058-41475.

The Club Mixed Foursomes kindly sponsored by Abbey Autos Services (Paudie Landers), is now approaching conclusion with Suzanne Dalton and Chris Gough set to meet Marie Curran and Michael Landers in what promises to be a fascinating final.

Club Singles Matchplay Sponsored by East Cork Oil.
The Club singles, which is very kindly, sponsored again this year by East Cork Oil, is also now under way. The schedule for completion of matches is as follows: - Next round of matches to be completed by 11th September, Quarter finals by 18th September and the Semi-finals by 25th September all with no exceptions. Responsibility of arranging matches lies with the top pairing on the draw sheet in each round.
