Sunday 12th June – Club competition, 18-hole Stableford

SCRAMBLE
Our second scramble of the year took place on Friday 10th June last and members were out in force to enjoy the fine weather.
1st: Philip Walsh, Brian Gibson, Mary Spratt, Ciara Donnelly. (24 11/16).
2nd: Philip Spratt. James Murphy. Eleanor Nugent. (27 3/12).
3rd: Mark Long, Chris Gough, Jean Conway, (28 6/12).

FRIARY HANDBALL CLUB BUILDING FUND GOLF CLASSIC
The Friary Handball Golf Classic took place this year on Thursday 9th, Friday 10th and Saturday 11th June last and as is usual was a huge success with approximately 80 teams taking part, testament to the hard work of all the members of the fundraising Committee involved.
JIMMY BRUEN
Our Jimmy Bruen team was in action at Waterford Castle Golf Club over the weekend. Following a good performance with a win over Lismore on Saturday and also beating Youghal on Sunday morning we were beaten by Tramore on Sunday afternoon.
Well done to the team and managers.
AMATEUR CLOSE CHAMPIONSHIP
Mark Shanahan and Seamus Power made it into the Matchplay rounds of the Amateur Close Championship competition held at Westport Golf club. (June11-15).
For Saturday and Sunday both had combined scores of 149. Mark: 76+73 and Seamus: 75+74.
