FIXTURES

Tuesday 5th April – Start of weekly High Handicap Competitions.

Wednesday 6th April – 18-hole Stableford, Club Competition. Prizes depending on entries.

Friday 8th, Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th April Club Competition – 18-hole Stableford.

Tuesday 12th April – High Handicap

Wednesday 13th April – Commencement of FAILTE HOUSE OPEN QUALIFIER

SOUTH EAST LEAGUE

West Waterford and East Cork will contest the final of the Southeast League at the Gold Coast on Sunday 10th April. Tee-off is at 1:00 PM. Well done to our team for coming this far and good luck on Sunday.

 

FAILTE HOUSE OPEN QUALIFIER.

Wednesday 13th April will see the start of this year's Failte House Open Singles Qualifier. The competition will run until October with prizes for each competition. The Final play-off is scheduled for Sunday 23rd October.

 

HIGH HANDICAP

High Handicap competitions recommence on Tuesday 5th April. This is a sure sign that the golfing season is well under way and doubt the hardy annuals will be much in evidence. We would urge any new members to come along and participate in these weekly get-togethers.

 

JUNIOR NOTES.

West Waterford Juniors will play Thurles at West Waterford in the Fred Daly Cup on Saturday 9th April. Tee-off is at 3:30 PM.

The junior team are as follows: - Seamus Power, Cian Kearney, David Curran, Philip Spratt, Philip Walsh. Sub: Kieran Gee.

 

LOCKER ALLOCATION

The locker fee for 2005 is EUR 15 and if this fee and any arrears are not paid immediately, the relevant locker will be forfeited and be made available for hire to members on the waiting list.

 

SUBSCRIPTIONS

At this stage all subscriptions for the 2005 season should now be paid. We request that all members who haven’t paid to please submit the appropriate amount to the office, by post or in person immediately.

 

FIXTURE BOOKLETS

Our fixture booklet for the 2005 season is now well freely available at the office and all members are urged to pick up a copy in order to make themselves familiar with the up and coming events of what promises to be an extremely busy golfing year at West Waterford Golf and Country Club.
