COMPETITION RESULTS

Friday 29^th, Saturday 30^th and Sunday 31^st October - Club Competition, 18-hole Stableford, timesheet in operation.

1^st: Simon Prudent (21) 41pts. 2^nd: Mark Shanahan (+2) 39pts. Gross: T.W. Murphy (scratch) 38pts. 3^rd: Mick O'Gorman (11) 38pts

AUTUMN/WINTER OPEN WEDNESDAY COMPETITION.

Owing to the success of the Failte House Open Wednesday qualifiers, we are going to continue with an Open Wednesday competition. It is hoped to maintain interest and impetus and continue the competition right up to Christmas. It will be known as the Autumn/Winter Open Wednesday Competition. The entry fee for visitors will be EUR20.00. Prizes will be awarded for each Wednesday and will be dependent on the number of entries. A timesheet will be in operation for each competition.

The first competition was held on Wednesday last, 20^th October, results as follows: -

1^st: Seamus Power (W.W.G.C.C.) (Scratch) 42pts

2^nd: Ray Rochford (W.W.G.C.C.) (8) 37pts

3^rd: Sean Treacy (Youghal G.C.) (15) 35pts

SOUTH EAST SENIOR ALLIANCE

West Waterford Golf and Country Club are delighted to be playing host to the South East Senior Alliance once more on Sunday 7^th November. The crème de la crème of the South East will be pitting their wits against the course and we look forward to the visit of Martin O’Mahony and his men!

Annual General Meetings

The annual general meetings of both the Ladies Club and the Men’s Club will take place in the Clubhouse on Wednesday night 24^th November at 8pm and all those eligible are requested to be in attendance.

Congratulations.

Halloween or not there were Bonfires, Bar-B-Que.'s and Fireworks at Bushy Park on Sunday night to celebrate the Brickey Minor Hurlers victory in the County Minor Hurling final. This is the first time the Brickey's won this championship. Well done and congratulations to them.
