Jimmy Bruen Trophy
The West Waterford Jimmy Bruen team won 3 rounds of the competition played in Carrick-on-Suir GC on Saturday and Sunday. They unfortunately lost out to Tramore on the final match on Sunday evening. Well done to the team managers and players.
JB Carr Trophy
Our J.B. Carr trophy team ably managed by Tommy Butler emerged victorious in the local derby match against Dungarvan during the week. In a sporting contest, home advantage proved crucial and we wish Tommy and his panel all the best at the next stage of the competition.
Dungarvan Golf International kindly sponsored by Saltan Properties (Michael Ryan)
This prestigious event’s 10th annual installment took place from 10th to the 12th June at our three local courses and proved to be a resounding success. The event is being revamped for 2009 and will be known as the Dungarvan Masters, offering a 3-day competition over the 3 local courses with the top 40 qualifiers playing a final round at Mount Juliet. The remaining non-qualifiers will play a further 18-hole competition at any of the 3 local courses. This new event will take place from Monday 8th June to Thursday 11th June 2009. Further details will be carried in the golf notes throughout the coming year. For any further information please contact the Tournament Co-Coordinators on 058-44055.
